RESCUE! VisiLure® TrapStik for Wasps, Mud Daubers, Carpenter Bees – 2 Pack

I read several reviews on different products before making this purchase. Some other products had bad reviews on setting up the wasp catchers. This product is easy to set up. I was unsure if this product would work? After approximately setting it up on Saturday, we have caught about 8 mud daubers so far (Monday morning). We cant have them swarming our swing set. So we had to give it a shot. So far, I am pleased with the product and would buy it again.I wanted to add to this initial review. About a year ago we tried the device that you insert into a 2 liter pop bottle and add some type of sugar. It did not catch anything but maybe two flies. I am uploading two more photos that shows that this thing has caught a ton of mud daubers!!! We placed the product where the mud daubers were swarming and after a few days it caught dozens of them. These photos are old and do not show all of the additional mud daubers that continue to get trapped. We will be buying more!!

I've tried a dozen different products to kill wasps and very few have even come close to what these do. Our last house was right next to a large field with tons of flies and wasps. I would have to buy these monthly because they would fill up completely (you could only see black on the trap). Our new house it's not as bad as before, but the wasps are still all over . This kills them all an my kids can play in the backyard without getting stung. Thankfully it hasn't ever got any bumblebees, but it does get yellow jackets, hornets, beetles an a few other types of flying bugs. The bird guard works well an I've never had issues with animals getting stuck in it. I keep it on a shephards hook pretty far off the ground to be safe. It works so well it's hard to say anything but this is a great value.

4 stars because I think they are expensive. They definitely work. This picture is after 3 days. The cheaper copy brand on Amazon doesn't do the job. Its the one on the right. It has nothing at all, while this one has numerous mud daubers.

I live near lake and there’s a creek also close to my property. Over the years I’ve dealt with lots of wasp of various species. I’ve tried several other products to deal with the issue, but this one so far has been the best. I hung two of these up in my backyard and didn’t really get much action the first week or so. I checked each trap here recently while more in my yard and I noticed that the traps have attracted multiple wasp and I’ve seen a huge decrease in the amount that are flying around my backyard. Highly recommend this product and I advise mounting the traps vertically for the best results.

I was skeptical at first, but this wasp catcher has seriously exceeded my expectations. As you can see from the photo, it caught a ton of wasps—and quickly! I hung it up near the garage where we were having a major wasp problem, and within a day or two, the trap was already full of buzzing invaders.The design is smart—sturdy cage to protect the bait while still letting the wasps in, and the bright color seems to attract them like a magnet. It’s durable and easy to hang. Just make sure to hang it a bit away from areas where people gather, because it really draws them in.Highly recommend if you’re looking to cut down on wasp activity around your home. Why did you pick this product vs others?:I was trying to kill wasps that destroy my monarch butterflies while they are caterpillars and have tried multiple things like a fake wasp nest, peppermint, etc. Well, I didn't realize it was a super sticky surface & right before I put it out I saw that other wildlife could accidentally be killed by it like honey bees, birds, etc. The very first couple of days I unfortunately killed a lizard which did not make me happy. It appears the poor guy struggled to get off & died there. I ended up throwing the whole thing out. Now, when I did throw it out there was a ton of flies dead on it since they were trying to feed off the dead lizard but I didn't want to take the chance of killing something else - so I tossed it. =(

Problem solved and then some. We use these at 3 different properties in NJ and from up north to the Jersey Shore, these amazing traps remove wasps, hornets, carpenter bees, and green heads (lots of green heads). All while my honey bees pollinate the lavender (they don’t go to the trap)! Nothing swarming around my head or attempting to drill holes in the wood! I’m shocked and pleased! Buying my 3rd round today!
