The size of the jokes was bigger than I imagined. I was hoping I could use it for sifting my vegetable seeds from their hulls and this is too large for that but it will work perfectly for my compost.

Average
I expected bigger holes on the top trays.

This takes forever
If you are processing a small amount of legos then this would work great but trying to sort through an entire tub. It's taking me many hours and it doesn't seem like this is really making it much easier. It works really well to.sort out the tiniest pieces but anything bigger and it's kind of hit and miss.

Works for sifting legos
I bought these for my kids and we ended up finding they work well on Legos. It's not magical or anything but it's good for getting the little 1 stud pieces out.

Looks like for panning for gold
Not what I needed them for! I returned them without a problem. Probably would work good for panning, I have no idea!! Sorry I can’t be more help.

Not for general Lego sorting and organization
I got this to help me sort the 1million legos I picked up off the floor. (I organize Lego by color, and my children don’t ever put any legos away, and once a year I go bananas, shut down the Lego area, and sort/reorganize everything). If you’re sorting Lego, don’t get this. The holes are not big enough for it to work well, and the legos will all get jammed in there. And then you’ll be more frustrated.Caveat: if you are only sorting Lego people and their accessories and parts (ie hands and arms, which my children remove All The Time and I don’t understand why) it might be fine.I ended up returning it, but who knows - I might get to a point where I only have Lego people and all their parts and accessories left to organize and then I might reconsider buying it.
