Carlisle Sport Trail Trailer Tire - 480-8/4-4L

I put these little tires on my Miata trailer and they're great! Once I got the axle alignment set perfectly, these tires don't wear. I've had them at 80+ MPH for over an hour, I mean, I saw a guy do this....not me personally...yea. Anyway, they hold up great. I have around 5k miles on them and they're just showing that they've been used at all.

The tire on my trailer for the spare, had dry riot and leaked. Bought tire to replace so far so good. Nice tire.

Tire was so squished I could not get it to seal, bought a tube and that fixed it.

2 4.80 - 8 trailer tires - listed as 6 ply in ad but is only 2 (or 2 tread & 2 sidewall) written on tire.Tires were shipped with only a shipping label on them. They were exactly the same and came from the same place and arrived on 2 different days!? One arrived perfectly shaped and easy to mount. The other was distorted at some point in shipping. I slightly heated it (<200°) in an oven which seemed to help. Got it mounted but it wouldn't bead on the rim. Left it out in the sun a day, used a lot of soapy water, wrestled with it a bit, and it finally beaded.Overall, they look good mounted. Hope they perform for years to come.

The description says USA origin. Not sure how that’s the case as these are stamped Made in China. Amazon should change the description. Carlisle may be headquartered in USA but the product I have with their name on it isn’t made in USA.I actually would be willing to pay more for American made products. Chinese stuff in my experience is hit or miss. I’m disappointed but not surprised.

I ordered 2 of these tires for my log splitter. I did not use tubes. I was able to use tire spoons to mount tires on the rims. Nice tires.

I have been buying replacement tires from a local farm store and the tires don't last. In about two years the tires are splitting in the treads and need to be replaced. Those tires came mounted on a wheel for a little more than this but if they don't last, they're not wort it. This feels and looks like a real good choice.

Tires look great, arrived on time. Had a bit of a problem getting one tire inflated, it was harder to stick to rim, probably from shipping.
