I had a vinyl soap dish for years. Then I noticed a smell coming from it, probably from a fungus or mold. When I put soap on this one, no smell! I read an article once about wooden cutting boards. They tested plastic boards against the wooden ones, and after using them both in the same manner, drying them, and measuring the germs in each one after a couple days, noted that the wooden one had a far less germ count than the plastic. So I figured that the same would probably be true with soap holders. So I believe wood is the way to go. You can't do better than natural products like wood, leather, etc., for normal everyday use, I believe.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Sometime's it's hard to tell from Amazon what you're going to get, but this is exactly what I wanted and got it! The wood is nice and smooth, not rough at all. It looks nice in my bathroom, which has a rustic/farmhouse theme. Overall, I'm incredibly happy with this soap holder!

Cute and perfect little soap dish, got this for my boyfriend to use in the shower and he loves it.

great product so far. The only thing that could make it better for it to have more of a coating to keep the soap from sticking to it.

It’s exactly what I wanted. It’s a soap dish. The only downside is the multiple emails I got wanting me to review my purchase. So, yes, it a great soap dish, and yes, I would buy it again. 😁
